Yahoo Chief Marketing Officer "Kathy Savitt" Said in a blog post that the new logo will unveil its new form which showed up on Yahoo's home page late Wednesday night. New logo reflects and signifies from the first major overhaul since 1995, the color and the iconic exclamation mark. Is totally the same.

"We wanted a logo that stayed true to our roots (whimsical, purple, with an exclamation point) yet embraced the evolution of our products," Savitt said. The most notable difference between old and new is the latter's font, which is more streamlined and sans serif.

"We knew we wanted a logo that reflected Yahoo — whimsical, yet sophisticated. Modern and fresh, with a nod to our history. Having a human touch, personal. Proud," Mayer said.
