Meet the 18 lovely aspirant boholanas contenders of Miss Bohol 2014 on July 19, 2014

Miss Bohol 2014, I think they maybe not your ideal national pageant contenders, but the fact that they are the most best start provincial beauty competition and is so professionally handled pageant like the other areas in the country which the production also is at par with.

Candidate 1 Jassenie Mangaron – LOON

Vital Statistics: 33 – 24 – 32 Height: 5'3"

Jass is a consistent honor student from Cebu Normal University taking up Bachelor of Secondary Education and dreams to teach someday. She is a dog lover and is a big fan of the movie "Hachiko"which touched her so much. As a representative of one of the damaged towns by the great Bohol earthquake, she wants to focus her advocacy if she wins the crown. 

on sustaining the resilience and cooperative spirit of her fellow people so that they can all rise from the rubble. 

Candidate 2 Jaya Lozano – TUBIGON

Vital Statistics: 34 – 24 – 35 Height: 5'3"

Jaya is a BS-Accountancy student at the University of San Carlos in Cebu . When asked if she could date a celebrity guy for a day, she answered Brad Pitt without batting an eyelash. She wants to know his secret of keeping a strong relarionship with Angelina Jolie despite their busy schedule. She is proud of Tubigon’s Cabgan, a bat sanctuary, which best represents her town’s preservation of its natural beauty. 

Candidate 3 Allyson Mycee Escobia – ANDA

Vital Statistics: 33 ½ - 26 ½ - 38 ½ Height: 5’3”

Mycee is a graduate of Siliman University and is currently working as a nurse at the Provincial Office of the Governor. She loves to read books and surf the net during her spare time. She joined the pageant to prove that she can go beyond her limits and let people be aware of the magnificence of her town Anda. As a nurse, she hopes for equal and quality in health for all Boholanos, especially those from far flung areas. 

Candidate 4 Liss Lee Centillas - BUENAVISTA

Vital Statistics: 32 – 26 – 33 Height: 5’3”

Liss is a nurse by profession and graduated from Mater Dei College. She believes that a heartbreak is God’s way of leading the path to meeting a better person. For her, the Buenavistahanons are very supportive people, despite of being a small town.

Candidate 5 Joyce Trexie Marie Cabagnot - BOHOL ISLAND STATE UNIVERSITY (BISU)

Vital Statistics: 31 -24 – 35 Height: 5’3”

Trexie is a huge fan of Dan Brown’s “Angels & Demons” because she loves the development and the twists of the story. She is proud to represent her school because it produces competent professionals, and she believes it doesn’t only train its students academically but it also molded their students with values and skills.

Candidate 6 Clowie Lim – UBAY

Vital Statistics: 32 – 26 - 34 Height: 5’3”

Kim Kim is a 3rd year college student taking up Bachelor in Elementary Education at Bohol Northern Star College. She hopes to work with Miss Wolrd 2013, Megan Young, someday as she is her inspiration and she wishes to follow her footsteps. She is proud of her town, Ubay’s, beaches and tourist spots.

Candidate 7 Annaleah Saga – CARMEN

Vital Statistics: 35 – 25 – 36 Height: 5’3”

Yhang Yhang, as called by her friends, is a graduating student of BS-Hotel and Restaurants Service Technology from Bohol Island State University. Her greatest fear is not being able to achieve her dreams for the future. She wishes that the churches damaged by the earthquake last year will have more funds to rebuild it back again for the Boholanos. 

Candidate 8 Farwah Niyah Soriano – PILAR

Vital Statistics: 32 – 27 – 35 Height: 5’5”

Farwah is at Holy Name University. She wishes to date Prince Harry because she has always dreamed of becoming a princess. She believes that joining Miss Bohol is not about being there as herself but embodying her town, Pilar. This is her way of thanking the people who have faith and believes that she deserves to be in this competition.

Candidate 9 Mary Rose Butalid – PANGLAO

Vital Statistics: 34 – 27 - 36 Height: 5’7”

Rose is the baby of the batch at 16 yrs old and is taking up Bachelor of Science in BS-Psychology at Bohol Island State University. She loves to sing and is a member of a choir since she was young. If she wins Miss Bohol, she wants to focus her advocacy that would address kids’ pre-mature indulgence of technology advancements like computer games & social media and bring back their interest in reading books through putting up mini-libraries most especially in rural communities in our province.

Candidate 10 Imaculada Cleofe Leopardas - BARBRA PEARLS COSMETICS

Vital Statistics: 33 – 26 – 36 Height: 5’7”

Ima is a student leader and a former Editor-in_chief of her school paper when she was in high school. She loves to compose songs and write poems. She lives her life keeping in mind the best lesson she got from her parents – to respect everyone regardless of their status, gender, beliefs and culture. 

Candidate 11 Liezel May Turtoga - GETAFE

Vital Statistics: 31 -23 – 35 Height: 5’7”

Liezel is a part time model and loves to sing and dance. She is a big fan of the movie “Frozen”. Liezel is proud of Getafe’s Pandanon Island and Banacon Mangrove Forest which are maintained and taken cared of by the people in her town.

Candidate 12 Geraldine Topsnik – TAGBILARAN

Vital Statistics: 34 – 26 -36 Height: 5’6”

Geraldine is a half German half Filipina lady who loves to cook and bake. She is a 2nd year college student at the Cristal-E College. When asked what her greatest fear is, she answers that it is of not knowing the results or outcomes of the things that she does and joining pageants like Miss Bohol where everything is unpredictable is surely helping her overcome them.

Candidate 13 Genina Abrau - SIERRA BULLONES

Vital Statistics: 34 – 25 -35 Height: 5’5”

Nina is proud scholar of the Department of Science of Technology. She is a graduating student taking up Bachelor of science in Computer Engineering at BISU. She is a student leader and currently a Senator in her school. She is a fan of anime and wishes to visit Japan someday.

Candidate 14 Maria Tifany Tabigue – BALILIHAN

Vital Statistics: 32 - 25 - 36 Height: 5’5”

Tipan is currently the Tourism Officer of the town she is representing, the Municipality of Balilihan. She was tasked to call in girls in their town to join this pageant but because of her charm and beauty, she got chosen instead. She was a former Sangguniang Kabataan chairperson in her barangay. 

Candidate 15 Natasha Amethyst Torralba – DUERO

Vital Statistics: 34 – 27 – 37 Height: 5’3” ½

Nash is an active member of different youth organizations. She loves to watch movies with her younger siblings. The best advice she learned from a heartbreak is to embrace pain because that will make her become a stonger person. 

Candidate 16 Christine Mae Cuarto – JAGNA

Vital Statistics: 31 – 22 – 33 Height: 5’4”

Mae is a graduate of BS – Crimonolgy from BIT – International College Jagna. She is also a DJ of “Radyo Natin” in her town. She joined Miss Bohol to improve her personality and confidence. 

Candidate 17 Queenie Melody Fullante – DAUIS

Vital Statistics: 36 – 25 - 36 Height: 5’3”

This half Bengali half Filipina beauty is a NGO worker that provides shelter to disaster hit areas. She grew up under the care of her aunt while her mother is working in Manila. She finished Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at the University of Bohol. She hopes to be a merchant to be able to travel and meet people from all walks of life. 

Candidate 18 Diozel Namoco – DIMIAO

Vital Statistics: 34 – 23 -36 Height: 5’3”

Zhel is a graduating student from HNU and dreams to become a manager in a 5 star hotel someday. She loves to watch tv and read books. She is proud of her town Dimiao, which used to be called a sleeping town, has slowly gained recognition and is now called “the rising town in the east”.








Miss Bohol 2014 coronation of the most aspirant boholanas will be held in Bohol Wisdom Hall Gymnasium on July 19, 2014. -See you there!
