MANILA, Philippines – A 24-year-old International singer Timothy “Timmy” Pavino belts out his own rendition of Martin Nievera’s triumphant hit “You Are My Song” during the Blind Auditions of the country’s highly-anticipated singing competition The Voice of the Philippines Season 2 premiere night aired on Sunday, October 6, 2014.

The 24-year-old singer from Seattle, Washington came back to the Philippines to take care of his grandmother who experienced stroke.

Timmy, to bring back her lola’s strength he quoted, “She is my father’s mother therefore I should take care of her.” And decided rather to go back to Seattle he joined the competition’s audition.

He started his career at the age of seven on the historic Nippon Kan Theater in downtown Seattle and the University of Washington.

Timothy Pavino before joining The Voice Philippines was also seen in TV5’s Kanta Pilipinas, performed with GMA 7’s Walang Tulugan and had a rare duet performance with Angeline Quinto in ABS-CBN’s ASAP Rocks.

Starting with a soft crushing and powerful voice, Pavino made the three (3) judges turn their red chairs, later Timothy Pavino choses Team Lea’s camp and was hailed as the first contestant to be with the Lea Salongas camp.

The Voice of the Philippines Season 2 is hosted by Toni Gonzaga and Luis Manzano while Alex Gonzaga and Robi Domingo will be the show’s V Reporters.
