Kamikazee Band bids Farewell after 2015

After a 14-year successful journey along with several hit songs, the OPM iconic band Kamikazee is breaking up next year.

The announcement of their disband was declared through a video uploaded on their official Facebook page on Sunday, where lead vocalist Jay Contreras said that the breakup was due to the members’ desire of exploring their future lives outside the band.

“Nagdesisyon po kaming lima na ngayong 2015 ang huling taon na magkakasama tayo dahil gusto namin masubukan ang buhay-buhay sa labas ng banda, ‘yung mga trip na puwede pa namin gawing iba,” - Jay Contreras.

While, Drummer Allan “Bords” Burdeos denied that the breakup was due to any quarrel happened in the band, rather said that they were happy about the decision they made.

The band members thanked their fans and asked them to continue to be gracious to Filipino original music.

However, Many Netizens expressed they’re sadness upon knowing the band’s decision.

Kamikazee, after a successful 14-year run were able to produce four studio albums, as they are remembered for releasing such songs like, “Narda”, “Martyr Nyebera”, “Wala” and “Huling Sayaw”, among other hits.
