Veteran Actor Pocholo Montes dies battling with COPD at 69

Known for his father, Police and Government official roles in both Philippine Theaters and Television, the veteran actor Pocholo Montes has lost his long battle against Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) on July 15, 2015.
The veteran actor’s son Franz Josef Montes took the announcement to Facebook declaring that his father dies on July 15, 2015 and its remains were cremated at 1 p.m. on Thursday.

The actor's son on separate post said that, there will be nine days of memorial services, the overnight vigil will be on July 22 and the interment will be on July 23.
Pocholo Montes started doing character roles in movies since 1989 with his last feature film “Layang Bilanggo” that earned the best picture award of Cinema One Originals on 2010, while other movies the veteran actor appeared are:  Yamashita The Tiger’s Treasure (2001), Tawagin Mo Ang Lahat Ng Santo (1997), Okidokidok (1996), Romano Sagrado: Talim Sa Dilim (1996).

He also did a lot of TV-series on several TV-shows under ABS-CBN and GMA 7 such as: Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw (2013), Angelito Batang Ama (2012), Momay (2010), Marimar (2007), Daisy Siete (2006), and Pangako Sa ‘Yo (2000).

He was also admired for his popular Jolibee commercial line, “Sa Jollibee? Sigurado ka bang sa Jollibee?”
